Courses & Specialities. Requirements & Fees

The prime objective of the courses offered at the RCPD is to provide pupils with a complete training programme that will allow them to enter the professional dancing world with the best possible preparation.

Their education is not limited to a command of the relevant techniques, but rather it includes other important aspects inherent in Dance, both from the historical and social standpoint, and from an aesthetic and psychological perspective.

The full course consists of 10 years, divided into two stages: Elementary Dance and Professional Dance.

Admission to these courses will be subject to an entrance examination specific to the level and year involved.

The Elementary Dance level is a 4-year course offering the basic building blocks for a comprehensive dance education: Classical Ballet, Spanish Dance and Music.

The entrance examinations are held in the month of September, although candidates may register as from the month of May.

Enrolment takes place in the month of July, in the case of enrolled pupils, and in the month of September for new students.
